The iPhone 12 launch is still months away but dummy units based on leaked schematics have started surfacing. According to the latest, the dummy unit of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 is compared against the original iPhone SE and iPhone 7 in terms of size. The comparison has been conducted by the member of the MacRumors forum, 'iZac' who purchased the dummy unit of the forthcoming 5.4-inch iPhone 12. 5.4-Inch iPhone 12 Dummy Unit Compared Against Original iPhone SE and iPhone 7 in Terms of Size Apple will most likely position the upcoming 5.4-inch iPhone 12 as a replacement for the iPhone SE and iPhone 7. Users who are looking for a modern design but prefer a smaller footprint would definitely be excited. 'iZac' points out that the 5.4-inch iPhone 12's square design makes it easier to hold and also allows for easy one-hand use. In terms of size, the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 is 6mm wider and 3mm narrower than the original iPhone SE but features a comparatively compact profile when compared to the iPhone 7. From handling it I can say it does feel like a bit more of a stretch than the SE, which just nestles very comfortably in my hand. BUT, although it’s nearer to the 7, I will note that it feels a lot more manageable because the square profile and flat side lets you actually grip the device. Take note that the iPhone 12 dummy unit is based on the leaked schematics and renderings. It is possible that the dimensions could be off by a few millime ...

The OnePlus Nord was the talk of week 27. We saw a few teasers for it and we know it packs a triple camera on the rear as well as a dual camera on the front, that it's powered by the Snapdragon 765G and that it will cost under $500. We already had a good idea that Apple is planning to ditch the earbuds from the iPhone 12 retail package, likely to boost AirPods sales. Well it seems Apple will also ditch the in-box charger from its future iPhones, with the pretext of a reduced environmental hit. Analysts believe the move aims to offset the added cost of 5G in the iPhone 12. In more... ...

Apple Car Keys was announced at WWDC 2020 . For those who don’t know, Car Keys is a new iOS 14 feature that lets you unlock your car using an iPhone . Credit: Robert Triggs / Android Authority There isn’t a ton of support for it yet, but the features are actually kind of cool. You can send your car key via the Messages app and you can restrict some car functions with a shared key. It also works offline as it’s based on NFC. Future iterations may even use different wireless connectivity to unlock the car with the phone in your pocket. Naturally, Android users are likely curious whether there will be an equivalent for the top Android phones . There are plenty of car keys apps already available, Apple’s unique approach is ahead of the competition. Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like the Apple Car Keys feature is anything Android users can’t eventually have too. Opinion: iPhone 6S getting iOS 14 is like the Galaxy S6 getting Android 11. Imagine that. What is Apple Car Keys doing that makes it special? For starters, Apple’s solution bucks a lot of trends. A lot of smart tech requires the cloud and, therefore, a constant data connection. Apple Car Keys does not need those things. NFC technology is available even while offline so you can unlock your car anywhere, even if an underground garage or other places where a connection is spotty. That already makes it better than some car manufacturer solutions since all of those require server a ...
